1985 – 2000
Unfortunately the whole recall was a ruse. The C.I.A. operatives were in fact Weapon X agents. They abducted Logan, bringing him to their newest facility where he would once again become the product of the brainwashing and experimentation. This time implementing a micro-weave of sensor blocking capacity. Making their ‘soldier’ a ghost to even the most high tech of sensor equipment.
During the transport of Wolverine home to Canada, where they would begin brainwashing him to their purposes, unfortunately the Wolverine’s reaction to this prospect? Of losing his life itself again? He finally rebelled. The plane itself was damaged and brought down over woodlands in Alberta, Canada.
As luck would have it, the airplane would crash in the Wilderness of Canada, which was near the watchful eyes of James and Heather Hudson. Bravely they pulled the apparently dead Logan from the wreckage. Amazingly enough he was not dead however. Logan would soon recover to full health, with a little nursing from Heather, and a lot of booze with James. Knowing that the man they had rescued was special, but not how special, they offered him a position with the newly created Canadian super team, Alpha Flight.
Unwilling at first to even consider it, he left the Cabin hideaway. It was during this trip away from the Hudsons that he would find himself in a backwater pub, sharing a drink with Jean-Marie (Aurora). How he knew she was a mutant is still unknown, but he gave her the directions to James and Heather. Just moments before Weapon X began to storm the pub, unable to track Logan himself due to their own micro-weave, they used something better to track him with: Sabretooth.
In his zest to make sure Weapon X would not know Jean-Marie was mutant, he was captured.
